Con los rumores de su eterno coro,
brota la fuente de la peña dura ...
¡el "Ojo de Agua" que, en su cuenca oscura,
de un cíclope en prisión derrama el lloro!

en tanto salta el surtidor sonoro
por la ancha verja, que el recinto mura,
tiembla en el fondo de la linfa pura
el pez de rosa con estrellas de oro.

En el misterio y en la sombra oriundo,
¿de qué hondo abismo o ignorada
orlilla surge a la luz el manantial profundo?

¡Raro prodigio! ¡Culta maravilla!
El pan de Dios lo tiene todo el mundo...
¡pero, el agua de Dios sólo Aguadilla!
