by Samuel Jonae Columbus (1642 - 1679)

Aftonsång
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Alt efter Guds behag
Så hafwer thenna dag
Sin ändtlig ända nått,
Och natten sömnens wän
Har åter nu igen
I ljusets rum upstått.

Tu höga Himlamagt,
Som nedre jordens tragt
Med tina himlablosz
Förandrar underlig
Sjelf oföränderlig,
Wik aldrig tu från osz.

Wår ögon gå igen,
En himmelsk Änglawän
Förordna tu åstad,
Som håller trogen wård,
Och stänger fastan gård
Omkring wår hwilostad.

Min kläder klädes af,
Min synd, o Gud begraf,
I Christi sidosår:
Så skall min skröplighet
Bli wänd i härlighet,
När jag af jord upstår.

Hur hjertelig skal jag sen,
Från alla synder ren,
Uti en härlig skrud
Lofsjunga tig som ock,
Tå jag i synden låg
War mig en nådig Gud.
