by Bo Bergman (1869 - 1967)

Orfeus
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Helig är lyran, som friar det fängslade,
löser det levandes innersta röst,
stillar det stormiga, söver det ängslade,
smälter i milda toner kval till tröst.

Orfeus, Kalliopes son, kom i lundernas
sus som korag för vår sjungande tropp
och ur den mörka och ensamma stundernas
Hades hämta en älskad skugga opp.
