by Julius Mosen (1803 - 1867)

Der Zecher ‑ Als Raisonneur
Language: German (Deutsch)
(Unterwegs zu den Nachtwächtern:)

Ei, was schaut ihr mich denn an,
Daß ich brav getrunken?
Hab' es gar zu gern gethan,
Bin auch nicht gesunken!
Ei, was schaut ihr mich denn an? --

(In seiner Stube zu seiner Frau:)

Sprich, was schau'st du mich denn an?
Frauen kann ich leiden!
Mag um diesen schönen Wahn
Mancher mich beneiden!
Ei, was schau'st du mich denn an?

(Im Nette:)

Und was schaut ihr mich denn an;
Daß ich gern gesungen?
Ist davon doch auch kein Span
Wem in's Aug' gesprungen;
Meinetwegen schaut mich an!

(Er zieht die Nachtmütze über die Ohren
und verschwindet unter der Bettdecke.)
