Snart er natten svunden
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Snart er natten svunden,
dagen bryder frem.
Fra vor jagt i lunden
alt vi drage hjem.
Borgens haners galen
lyder over vang,
snart vil Gurre-svalen
kvidre morgensang.

End i vesten glimter
matte stjerners hær,
mens i øst man skimter
svage morgenskær.
Mod de tavse strande
søen vugger sig,
stjernen i dens vande
spejles blidelig.

Nu afsted til borgen,
til vor rede hen!
En lyksalig morgen
snart bestråler den.
Veget er det dunkle,
som den mørknet har.
Nu skal solen funkle
for Kong Valdemar.
