Hoffnung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn du dich glaubst vom Glück verlassen
und alle deine Freuden fliehn
wenn statt der Liebe kaltes Hassen
und Kummer deine Brust durchziehn
wenn all' dein Hoffen ging verloren,
an das du dich empor gerankt
die Liebe selber todt geboren
und selbst dein fester Glaube schwankt;
Dann blick empor, empor zu jenen Sternen,
dort wohnt ein Gott, der dein gedenkt
der in die Brust aus lichten Fernen
dir Liebe Glück und Frieden senkt.
