by Emanuel von Geibel (1815 - 1884)

Fern in leisen, dumpfen Schlägen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Fern in leisen, dumpfen Schlägen
Ist das Wetter ausgehallt,
Und ein goldner Strahlenregen
Flutet durch den feuchten Wald.

Wie am Grund die Blumen funkeln!
Wie die Quelle singt im Fall!
Silbern aus den tiefsten Dunkeln
Blitzt das Lied der Nachtigall.

Ach, und in dem süßen Schallen,
In dem Glanz durchs lichte Grün,
Herz, erkennst du in dem allen
Nicht dein eigen selig Blühn?

Laß dein Singen denn und Preisen
Und in Andacht lausche zu,
Wie der Frühling deine Weisen
Doch noch schöner spielt als du.
