by Eduard Paulus (1837 - 1907)

Will noch einmal der Frühling kommen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Will noch einmal der Frühling kommen,
Die Vöglein singen gar so schön,
Es ruhn im goldnen Duft verschwommen
Die holden, waldumkränzten Höhn.

O meiner Heimat grüner Thale,
Wie sprecht ihr wieder an mein Herz,
Und löset mir zum ersten Male
Seit langer Zeit den bittren Schmerz.

Als wie von eines Engels Kusse,
Wird meine Seele still und rein,
Und saugt in heiligem Genusse,
In sich den letzten Sonnenschein.
