Daniel Boone sings to the night sky
Language: English
Orion! Hunter!
Set alight your seventy-seven arrows and draw back your bow.
The sinew of your bowstring is the sinew of my heart.
Make me shudder with the violent thwang of alarming force released into flaming flight.

Diana! Huntress!
Pull me to you.
Cool my brow.
Incite my lust.

Ursa! Great Bear!
Terrify me with your blazing paw.
Quicken your children here below as they flee before my flash and thunder.

Polaris! Star of ice!
Catch the rope I toss to you.
Steady me as I seek out the arc of my footpath.
Persist as I surrender to the tides of my desires.
Lend to me your calmness and effect,
So that those who might cast their own ropes to me
Tenderly, trustingly,
May discover that they have been led home.
