An den Mai
Language: German (Deutsch)
Habe Dank, du lieber Mai,
habe Dank für deine Gaben,
bleib' uns lange hold und treu,
dass wir uns an dir erlaben.
Kränze wollen wir dir winden,
pflücken dir den schönsten Strauss,
und mit deinen Angebinden
schmücken wir dich selber aus,
singen wollen wir dir Lieder,
dich zu ehren, zu erfreu'n,
dass du gerne kehrest wieder,
deine Gaben zu erneu'n.
