possibly by Ludwig Koch (1806 - 1888)

Sommer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlinget Tänze,
Windet Kränze
Von den blumenreichen Au'n!
Freude waltet,
Reich gestaltet,
Tausendfältig anzuschau'n.

Aus der Quelle
Rein und helle
Strahlt der Sonne klares Bild.
Seine Schatten
Auf die Matten
Senkt der Abend freundlich mild.

Durch die Lüfte
Balsam Düfte
Säuseln dann so sanft und sacht,
Lieder schallen,
Nachtigallen
Flöten lieblich durch die Nacht;

Zärtlich kosen
Glüh'nde Rosen
Mit des Mondes Silberschein,
Sterne lauschen,
Wonne tauschen
Selig Erd' und Himmel ein.
