by Theresa Gröhe, née Pauli (1853 - 1929), as T. Resa

Am Schreibtisch sitzt das Kindchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
 Am Schreibtisch sitzt [das]1 Kindchen,
O Lernen, unbequem!
Ganz müde seufzt sein Mündchen:
"Je t'aime -- ach! tu aimes -- il aime."

"J'aime -- " -- plötzlich fliegt die Feder,
Ei -- nur Allotria treibt
Der Schelm -- das sieht ein jeder -- !
Laß sehn, was er da schreibt.

Es geht auf heißen Sohlen
Der Mittag übers Land,
Mein Bübchen gähnt verstohlen,
Und lässig sinkt die Hand.

Der Schlingel malt mit Herzen
Den ganzen Bogen voll --
Elf Jahr -- und Liebesschmerzen -- ?
Das wär' doch wahrlich toll!

"Gib' her!" -- ei, ei! Ein Name
In jeden Herzchen da --
Wie hieß die Herzensdame??
"Mama" -- "Mama" -- "Mama."
