The sun had set
Language: English
The sun had set a glory of red and gold. Purple twilight sealed our parting kiss. My heart was yearning for love that had grown [cold]1, my eyes were blind with tears for vanished bliss. 'Tis an eternity since last we met, Still my arms ache to hold my love again, and in my soul throbs the unceasing pain of parting I can ne'er forget! Silent, alone, I fared into the night. Hope left no star to light the dark abyss. The sun had set a glory of red and gold, and purple twilight sealed our parting kiss!
