Harmonie
Language: German (Deutsch)
Himmelstochter, Harmonie!
Lenkerin der Herzen!
Du erzeugest Sympathie,
Lindrung, Trost bei Schmerzen;
Für die Auserwählten nur
Sandt' ein Gott dich nieder;
Heil!  wir finden deine Spur
Bei dem Klang der Lieder.

Unsern Kreis beherrschest du
An der Tafelrunde,
Und voll Huld rufst du uns zu:
"Einklang eurem Bunde!"
Hier, wo Dichtkunst und Musik
Froh den Geist erheben,
Hier nur blühet wahres Glück,
Keimt uns neues Leben.

Drum sei Zwist und jeder Tand
Ferne von uns allen,
Und nur ein harmonisch Band
Glänz' in diesen Hallen!
Ferne Zeiten!  kündet laut
Unsers Meisters Namen,
Der dies Tempe hat erbaut,
Und gesä't den Saamen.

Confirmed with Die Liedertafel, Berlin: no publisher, 1818, song no. 21, pages 65 - 66.
