by Anthoni Christiaan Winand Staring (1767 - 1840)

Adeline verbeid
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Schooner prale uw milde lentezegen,
Bloemrijk oord, langs Adelines wegen.
Nachtegalen, juicht haar 'welkom!' toe,
Als zij nadert, wie ik hulde doe.

Paart uw lied aan 't lied der filomeelen,
Minder zangkoor, uit de hooge abeelen.
Laat het meigroen met het beekkristal
Samenruischen, bij den waterval.

Moge uw schaar, gij zefirs in de hagen,
Balsemgeur haar offrend tegendragen.
Toeft niet langer! Adeline komt!
Zwevend naakt zij, en mijn zang verstomt.
