Ein Hochzeitbitter zog der Lenz [Den Wald entlang]1 und See, Zog hin mit Sang und Klange, Mir aber ward so bange, Als läge noch der Schnee. Und Gäste lud zu sich der Lenz, Mich aber lud er nicht, [Er sah mich]2, ach! gefangen, Ich hing an jenen Wangen, An jenem Angesicht. Nun bin ich frei, nun kommt der Lenz, Nun erst genieß' ich ganz, Wenn ruh'ger auch und stiller, Der Bäche grünen Schiller, Der Rosen frischen Glanz.
