Der Traum

Language: German (Deutsch)

Im schönsten Garten wallten
Zwei Buhlen Hand in Hand,
Zwo bleiche kranke Gestalten,
Sie sassen in's Blumenland.

Sie küßten sich auf die Wangen,
Sie küßten sich auf den Mund,
Sie hielten sich fest umfangen,
Sie wurden jung und gesund.

Zwei Glöcklein klangen helle,
Der Traum entschwand zur Stund';
Sie lag in der Klosterzelle,
Er fern in Thurmes Grund.

De droom

Language: Dutch (Nederlands) after the German (Deutsch)

In 't mooiste lustoord liepen
Verliefden hand in hand,
Twee bleke ziek'lijke typen,
Zij zaten in 't bloemenland.

Gekust werd er op de wangen,
Gekust werd er op de mond,
Zij hielden elkaar omvangen,
Zij werden jong en gezond.

Twee klokjes klonken helder,
De droom verdween terstond;
Zij lag in haar kloostercel daar,
Hij ver in torengrond.
