Kroet už list zolotoj Vlažnuju zemlju v lesu... Smelo topču ja nogoj Vešnjuju lesa krasu. S cholodu ščeki gorjat; Ljubo v lesu mne bežat', Slyšat', kak suč'ja treščat, List'ja nogoj zagrebat'! Net mne zdes' prežnich utech! Les s sebja tajnu sovlek: Sorvan poslednij orech, Svjanul poslednij cvetok; Moch ne pripodnjat, ne vzryt Grudoj kudrjavych gruzdej; Okolo pnja ne visit Purpur brusničnych kistej; Dolgo na list'jach, ležit Noči moroz, i skvoz' les Cholodno kak-to gljadit Jasnost' prozračnych nebes... List'ja šumjat pod nogoj; Smert' stelet žatvu svoju... Tol'ko ja vesel dušoj I, kak bezumnyj, poju! Znaju, nedarom sred' mchov Rannij podsnežnik ja rval; Vplot' do osennich cvetov Každyj cvetok ja vstrečal. Čto im skazala duša, Čto ej skazali oni - Vspomnju ja, sčast'em dyša, V zimnie noči i dni! List'ja šumjat pod nogoj... Smert' stelet žatvu svoju! Tol'ko ja vesel dušoj - I, kak bezumnyj, poju!
