Ach! pērane to lagiarni pu 'che to chryso malli, to asēmenio kerato kai to chryso kudoyni. Probataki m', katsikaki m', lagiarnaki m', ach! To pērane kai pan, ainte manoyla m', pan, kai pisō den koitan.
Note: this text is written in a local dialect of Ήπειρος (Epirus or Eperus), West Greece. An oddity of this text, according to Athanasios Papaisiou, is that "λαγιαρνί" (layarni) actually means "the black lamb", but in the text you can read that this layarni was "the one with the golden hair".
