In der Ferne

Language: German (Deutsch)

Wehe dem Fliehenden
Welt hinaus ziehenden! -
Fremde durchmessenden,
Heimath vergessenden,
Mutterhaus hassenden,
Freunde verlassenden
Folget kein Segen, ach!
Auf ihren Wegen nach!

Herze, das sehnende,
Auge, das thränende,
Sehnsucht, nie endende,
Heimwärts sich wendende!
Busen, der wallende,
Klage, verhallende,
Abendstern, blinkender,
Hoffnungslos sinkender!

Lüfte, Ihr säuselnden,
Wellen sanft kräuselnden,
Sonnenstrahl, eilender,
Nirgend verweilender:
Die mir mit Schmerze, ach!
Dies treue Herze brach, -
Grüßt von [dem]1 Fliehenden,
Welt hinaus ziehenden!

En la lejanía

Language: Spanish (Español) after the German (Deutsch)

¡Ay del fugitivo,
que el mundo recorre!
Cruzando tierras extranjeras,
la patria ha olvidado,
odiando la casa materna,
abandona a sus amigos,
y no le sigue bendición alguna, ¡ay!,
en su camino.

¡Corazón anhelante,
ojos lacrimosos,
nostalgia interminable que hacia
la patria se vuelve!
¡Pecho que hierve,
quejas que apagan,
estrella vespertina que brilla
y se hunde sin esperanza!

Brisas susurrantes,
olas que se encrespan,
rayos de sol que huyen
y nunca permanecen.
A aquella que con dolor, ¡ay!,
rompió este fiel corazón,
saludadla por el fugitivo
que el mundo recorre.
