Soluppgång
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  ENG FIN FRE GER
Under himlens purpurbrand
Ligga tysta sjö och land,
Det är gryningsstunden.
Snöig gren och frostvit kvist
Tecka sig så segervisst
Mot den röda grunden.

Riddarn står vid fönsterkarm,
Lyssnar efter stridens larm,
Trampar golvets tilja.
Men en smal och snövit hand
Kyler milt hans pannas brand,
Böjer mjukt hans vilja.tenderly

Riddarn sätter horn till mun,
Blåser vilt I gryningsstund,
Över nejd som tiger.
Tonen klingar, klar och spröd,
Branden slocknar, gyllenröd,
Solen sakta stiger.

Sonnenaufgang
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Swedish (Svenska)
Unter des Himmels purpurnem Brand
liegen stille Meer und Land
in der Morgenstund.
Verschneiter Ast, bereifter Zweig
zeichnen ab sich siegesreich
gegen roten Hintergrund.

Zum Ritter, der am Fenster steht,
Schlachtenlärm herüber weht;
auf und ab er schreitet.
Doch eine kleine, schneeweiße Hand
- sanft kühlt sie seiner Stirne Brand -
ihn zart zum Bleiben verleitet.

Der Ritter führt sein Horn zum Mund
bläst wild hinaus in die Morgenstund
über das Land, das schweigt.
Hell klingt’s hinaus und spröde;
und es erlischt der Brand der Morgenröte
allmählich, als die Sonne steigt.
