Nell'inferno più profondo
tormentato amor mi tiene,
d'ogni male a torto abbondo,
son immense le mie pene.
Ma tu, bella crudel, cieca ti fai:
un occhio che non vuol non vede mai.

Con un sì potresti solo,
eloquente parlatrice,
con un sì togliermi il duolo
con un sì farmi felice.

la bocca che non vuol non parla mai.
