I drömmen du är mig nära
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
I drömmen du är mig nära,
jag nämner hänryckt ditt namn.
Jag sluter dig ömt, du kära
ut i min längtande famn.

Av stormande fröjd betagen
jag känner mig då ha makt
att säga dig allt, som dagen
i tystnadens bojor lagt.

Min innersta tanke jag röjer,
jag ser i ditt öga in;
din barm invid min sig höjer,
jag söker din mun med min.

O skall, förrän livet förrunnit,
den saliga stund ej slå,
skall högsta lycka, jag funnit,
mig endast i drömmen nå?

En rêve tu es près de moi
Language: French (Français)  after the Swedish (Svenska)
En rêve tu es près de moi,
je dis ton nom avec ravissement.
Ma chérie, je te serre tendrement
dans mes bras impatients.

Transporté par une grande joie
je peux alors avoir la force
de tout te dire quand le jour
gît dans les chaînes du silence.

Je dévoile mes plus intimes pensées,
je vois dans tes yeux ;
ta poitrine se soulève vers moi,
je cherche ta bouche avec la mienne.

Ô, avant que la vie ne s'enfuie,
ne connaîtrai-je point cette heure sacrée,
trouverai-je cette extrême félicité
seulement maintenant en rêve ?
