Η περιπλάνηση είναι η χαρά του μυλωνά,
η περιπλάνηση! 
Πρέπει να είναι ένας δυστυχής μυλωνάς 
αυτός που δεν θέλει να περιπλανηθεί. 
Η περιπλάνηση!

Το έχουμε μάθει αυτό από το νερό, 
από το νερό! 
Αυτό δεν ξεκουράζεται τη μέρα ή τη νύχτα, 
Πάντα σκέφτεται το ταξίδι του, 
το νερό.

Το βλέπουμε αυτό και με τους μυλοτροχούς, 
με τους μυλοτροχούς! 
Δεν θέλουν να παραμείνουν σε ακινησία, 
και γυρίζουν όλη την ημέρα, χωρίς να κουράζονται. 
Με τους μυλοτροχούς.

Οι ίδιες οι μυλόπετρες, κι ας είναι βαρειές,

Μπαίνουν στο χαρούμενο χορό,
