Herzens Reise
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG

Cotta'schen Buchhandlung, 1837, page 136.

Heart's journey
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Begin your flight once more, heart, to gaze
Down into that valley at her little house,
And when she then looks out of her window,
Pale with love, toward the blue heavens:

Then settle as a virtuous dove
  Down upon her thatched roof
And coo at night, so that she may believe
That love is awake at all hours.
