Ungestüm  kommt  die glänzende glutvolle Jugend daher
Und lässt aus dem menschlichen Stamm von Zeit zu Zeit
Einen Hauch  warmer Wollust hervorbrechen
Flüsternd von Weiblichkeit.

Weht über die Wasser an einsame Strände; geht dahin
Es wehen die Düfte der Rosen aus dem Hausgarten,
es klingen die Liebeslieder herüber
von ferne wie Meteore.
