Des Mondes Silberblume lacht

Language: German (Deutsch)

Des Mondes [Silberblume]1 lacht,
Und ruft mit seelenvollem Blick
In unsre düstre Erdennacht
Der Liebe Paradies zurück.

Vom mächt'gen Arm des Schlafs besiegt,
[Entschlummert Sorge, Noth]2 und Pein,
Das Zarte nur und Schöne fliegt
Entfesselt in den [Freudenreihn]3.

Doch seht! die Fluren sind vertauscht,
Das ist die alte Erde nicht,
[Ein Feengarten,]4 duftumrauscht,
Voll Nebelschmelz und Zauberlicht.

[Der Busen athmet leicht und frei,
Von roher Lebenslast befreit,
Und]5 trinkt in stiller Schwärmerei
Des Himmels volle Seligkeit.

Doch mahnt das Lied der Nachtigall
An seine Welt das weiche Herz. -
In aller Wonne weckt [ihr]6 Schall
Den tiefsten Schmerz - der Liebe Schmerz!

Chiaro di luna

Language: Italian (Italiano) after the German (Deutsch)

Sorride il magico fiore della luna
e richiama con sguardo beato,
nella nostra tenebrosa notte terrestre,
il paradiso dell'amore.
Vinte dal potente abbraccio del sonno,
pena, colpa e dolore si spengono,
solo dolcezza e bellezza volano
libere tra le schiere degli spiriti.
Ma ecco, i campi si trasformano,
questa non è più la vecchia Terra,
Guardate, un giardino argenteo diffonde intorno i suoi profumi,
sfolgorante di nebbia e magica luce.
Lo spirito, libero dal peso terrestre,
fluttua nell'etereo manto della nostalgia
e beve, in silenziosa estasi,
la piena beatitudine del cielo.
Ma il canto dell'usignolo riporta
il debole cuore nel suo mondo,
in tutta questa gioia, il suo canto risveglia
il dolore più profondo, il dolore dell'amore.
