by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857)

Hier unter dieser Linde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Hier unter dieser Linde
saß ich viel tausendmal
und schaut nach meinem Kinde
hinunter in das Tal,
bis dass die Sterne standen
hell über ihrem Haus,
und weit in den stillen Landen
alle Lichter löschten aus.

Jetzt neben meinem Liebchen
sitz ich im Schatten kühl,
sie wiegt ein muntres Bübchen,
die Täler schimmern schwül,
und unten im leisen Winde
regt sich das Kornfeld kaum,
und über mir säuselt die Linde . . .
Es ist mir noch wie ein Traum!
