by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857)

Treue
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie dem Wanderer in Träumen,
daß er still im Schlafe weint,
zwischen goldnen Wolkensäumen
seine Heimat wohl erscheint:

So durch dieses Frühlingsblühen
über Berg und Täler tief
seh' ich oft dein Bild noch ziehen,
als ob's mich von hinnen rief;

und mit wunderbaren Wellen
wie im Traume halb bewußt
gehen ew'ge Liederquellen
mir verwirrend durch die Brust.
