1 Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum,
et in via peccatorum non stetit,
et in cathedra pestilentiæ non sedit;
2 sed in lege Domini voluntas ejus,
et in lege ejus meditabitur die ac nocte.
3 Et erit tamquam lignum quod plantatum est secus decursus aquarum,
quod fructum suum dabit in tempore suo: et folium ejus non defluet;
et omnia quæcumque faciet prosperabuntur.
4 Non sic impii, non sic;
sed tamquam pulvis quem projicit ventus a facie terræ.
5 Ideo non resurgent impii in judicio,
neque peccatores in concilio justorum:
6 quoniam novit Dominus viam justorum,
et iter impiorum peribit.

Heureux celui qui ne se rend pas au conseil des impies,
et qui ne suit pas le chemin des pécheurs,
et qui ne s'asseoit pas avec les railleurs,
mais a son plaisir dans la loi du Seigneur
et parle de sa loi jour et nuit.
Il est comme un arbre, planté près du cours d'eau,
qui apporte son fruit en son temps,
et dont le feuillage ne se fane pas, et
Mais ainsi ne sont pas les impies, mais comme la balle
que le vent disperse.
Pour cela les impies ne se tiennent pas au tribunal,
ni les pécheurs dans l'assemblée des justes.
Car le Seigneur connaît le chemin des justes,
mais le chemin des impies se perd.
