Und blickt dann vom Himmel der Sterne Schar
Und das Glühwürmchen in der Lilie Schoß,

Et le papillon le buisson de jasmin,
Alors je caresse ma bien-aimée aussi
Sur le banc de pierre ombragé et couvert de mousse douce.

Et quand du village arrive le son des cloches,
Et la prière du soir pleine d'allégresse de l'alouette,
Alors nous tombons dans le silence et nos âmes fondent
Dans le pouvoir divin de l'amour sacré.

Et alors des cieux une troupe d'étoiles regarde,
Et les vers luisants apparaissent au sein des lis,
Alors je laisse mes bras tomber
Et j'embrasse ses deux yeux en nous quittant.
