Hinter den Tannen

Sonnenschein auf grünem Rasen,
Krokus drinnen blau und blaß;
Und zwei Mädchenhände tauchen
Blumen pflückend in das Gras.

Und ein Junge kniet daneben,
Gar ein übermütig Blut,
Und sie schaun sich an und lachen -
O wie kenn ich sie so gut!

Hinter jenen Tannen war es,
Jene Wiese schließt es ein -
Schöne Zeit der Blumensträuße,
Stiller Sommersonnenschein!

Derrière les sapins

La lumière du soleil sur l'herbe verte
Et dessus les crocus bleus et pâles ;
Et deux mains de filles plongent
Dans l'herbe pour y cueillir des fleurs.

Et un jeune homme s'agenouille à côté,
Au sang par trop exubérant,
Et ils se regardent et rient -
Ô comme je les connais bien !

C'était derrière ce sapin,
Entouré par cette prairie -
Joli temps des bouquets de fleurs,
Calme lumière du soleil d'été !
