Doch es ist kein Schneegestöber,
Merkst es bald mit freud'gem Schrecken;
Duft'ge Frühlingsblüten sind es,
Die dich necken und bedecken.

Welch ein schauersüßer Zauber!
Winter wandelt sich in Maie,
Schnee verwandelt sich in Blüten,

Soudain de là-haut tombent sur toi
De blancs flocons, et morose,
Tu penses que l'arbre a déversé sur toi
Ce tourbillon de neige.

Mais ce n'est pas un tourbillon de neige,
Dans un frisson de joie tu remarques vite
Que ce sont d'odorantes fleurs printanières
Qui te taquinent et te recouvrent.

Quelle averse douce et magique !
L'hiver se transforme en mai,
