Die Korfsche Uhr
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
Korf erfindet eine Uhr,
die mit zwei Paar Zeigern kreist,
und damit nach vorn nicht nur,
sondern auch nach rückwärts weist.
Zeigt sie zwei, - somit auch zehn;
zeigt sie drei, - somit auch neun;
und man braucht nur hinzusehn,
um die Zeit nicht mehr zu scheun.
Denn auf dieser Uhr von Korfen,
mit dem janushaften Lauf,
(dazu ward sie so entworfen):
hebt die Zeit sich selber auf.

La montre korfienne
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Korf invente une montre
qui marche avec deux paires d'aiguilles
et donc pas seulement vers l'avant
mais aussi vers l'arrière.
Si elle pointe sur le deux, elle pointe aussi sur le dix ;
si elle pointe sur le trois, elle pointe aussi sur le neuf;
et on n'a qu'à la regarder
pour que le temps ne prenne plus la fuite.
Car sur cette montre de Korf
à la course janusienne,
(raison de sa conception)
le temps s'abroge de lui-même.
