Il y a des soirs prématurément blêmes.
Les rouges dahlias, les dernières roses jaunes
s'embrasaient dans les rayons du soleil,
il y avait des petites roses pâles sur la pierre décolorée.
Le brouillard collait à nos chapeaux.
Viens, ma sœur. Là-bas, la grille d'airain
enserre celle qui s'est trop tôt fanée.
Rentre à la maison ; je me gèle. Elle m'aimait.
De la vie, elle n'avait rien que son cœur ;
elle faisait le bien en silence, en silence elle souffrait.
