I gondolieri
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Our translations:  GER
Voghiam sull'agil vela,
bello risplende il cielo,
la luna è senza velo,
senza tempesta	il mar.

Vogar, posar sul prato;
al gondoliere è dato
fra i beni, il ben maggior.

Non cal se brilla il sole,
o mesta appar la luna,
ognor sulla laguna
il gondoliere è Re.

Die Gondelführer
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Italian (Italiano)
Wir rudern unter dem flinken Segel,
schön strahlt der Himmel,
der Mond ist ohne Schleier,
ohne Sturm das Meer.

Rudern, auf der Wiese liegen:
dem Gondoliere ist gegeben
von den Gütern das größte Gut.

Auch wenn die Sonne nicht warm scheint,
oder der Mond traurig aussieht,
immer ist auf der Lagune
der Gondoliere ein König.
