by Julius Schanz (1828 - 1902)

Mailied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Hinaus aus dem Haus,
Gesellen, hinaus,
In den wonnigen sonnigen Frühling hinaus!
Der frostige Graus,
Er hat des Garaus,
Der traurige schaurige Winter ist aus.

Hinein in den Mai'n,
Gesellen, hinein,
In den holdigen, goldigen Sonnenschein,
Und stimmet mit ein,
In die Melodein
Der singenden klingenden Vögelein.

Hinein in die Welt,
Gesellen, gelt,
In die lärmende, schwärmende Menschenwelt!
Einer steigt, einer fällt,
Den Sieg der erhält,
Wer seine Sachen auf Gott nur stellt.
