Im weichen Lilapurpur
liegt fern ein Traumesland:
blaudunkel glühn die Wellen,
und golden ist ihr Strand.
Cypressenwälder wiegen
im Wind ihr Nadellaub
und in den Lüften liegen
Maiglück und Sonnenstaub.

Die himmelhohen Kuppeln
der ewigen Berge schaun
in Scharlachschnee der Frühe
hin auf die gold'nen Gaun:
Das Glück, das Glück umschmiegt uns,
wir sind vom Schmerz befreit --
und unsre Seele wiegt uns
in blaue Ewigkeit...
