Wiederfinden
Language: German (Deutsch)
Einmal war ich schon geboren,
Und der Himmel war mein Land,
Engel waren meine Brüder,
Heilige mir anverwandt.

Da verstieß ein harter Spruch mich
Nieder in die Erdennacht,
Und ich hab' vom Himmel Schmerzen
Heißer Sehnsucht nur gebracht.

Doch - da sah ich Dir in's Auge,
Stand entzückt und fest gebannt; -
Weil ich ja in Deinen Augen
Meinen Himmel wiederfand!
