hell klingend gen Himmel dahin es ihn zieht,
und selig wirbelt er in den Höh'n:
die Welt ist schön! 

Der Strahl des Morgens erweckt die Blum',
aufschließt sie ihr duftendes Heiligtum,
aus offenem Kelche die Düfte weh'n:
die Welt ist schön! 

Im flüssigen Silber, im schimmernden Bach,
eilt flüchtig die Welle der Welle nach;
sie netzen das Ufer mit sanftem Getön:
die Welt ist schön! 

Was stehst du, Mensch, mit finsterem Blick,
und schaust in die finstere Brust zurück?
O wolle den Jubel doch ringsum seh'n:
Die Welt ist so schön!
