und wenn die Bäume treiben,
so kann ich nun und nimmermehr
nicht bleiben, nicht bleiben.

Ei komm, du schöne Sommerzeit,
da sich die Vögel freien,
und lustig sind, wenn's Blüten schneit
im Maien, im Maien.

Dann schneid' ich mir vom grünsten Strauch
den Wanderstab im Hagen,
und wand'r ich erst verlern' ich auch
das Klagen, das Klagen.

Und daß ich nie den Weg verlier' 
und daß ich weiß zu reisen,
das soll mein Kuß gar balde dir.
