by Arne Garborg (1851 - 1924)

Sporven
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Our translations:  FRE
Smaa-Sporven gjeng i Tune
og tippar Korn og ribbar Straa
og hev so god ein Une
og lær aat Katten graa.
Pip, pip, det so seg lagar
alle Dagar,
at Monsemann meg jagar,
men kan meg aldri faa.

Eg er so lett paa Vengen,
og Mons maa sleikja seg um Trut;
kvitt, kvitt, den gamle Drengen,
han fekk so mang ei Sut.
Og um i vide Ringar
Hauken svingar,
eg burt meg kverv og kringar
og slepp av Leiken ut.

Eg liver Dagar lette
og er fornøgd, aa ja, aa ja!
Kvar dag eg fær min Mette
som eg det best vil ha.
Pytt, pytt, tarv aldri røa!
Nok i Løa!
Der ligg den rike Grøda;
der kan eg berre ta.

Og tidt eg fær i Joli
ein Godbit fin av Veslemøy;
og frys det, hev eg Skjol i
det gode varme Høy.
Og so - kvitt-kvitt, gomaar'n!
so kjem Vaaren;
daa fri paa Vengen bôren
eg byggjer Reir paa Øy.
