by Léon-Paul Fargue (1876 - 1947)

Au Pays
Language: French (Français)
Un nom, Cromac, nous fait parler
D'un golfe sombre... Ô mort d'amour,
Sois moins triste d'avoir pleuré
Pour d'autres noms, pour d'autres jours

Où tu étais comme l'aveugle,
Qui regarde du rouge sombre
Et joue avec ses mains grattées
Sur le vieux banc de son enfance...

Comme l'aveugle, lorsqu'il songe
Et bougonne, et que son cœur gronde
Contre la beauté au corps tiède
Qui le regarde, toute en larmes...

Cromac. La Maison sous les branches,
Dont la fenêtre aux yeux en fleurs
Écartait ses longues mains blanches,
Doucement, sans bruit, sur ton cœur...
