by Mathilde Beckmann-Raven (1817 - 1902)

Was mir geblieben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Von Allem, was mir im Leben geblüht,
Ist mir gar wenig geblieben.
Ich habe nichts, als mein trauerndes Lied,
Ich habe nichts, als mein Lieben.

Gleich wie im dichtverwachsenen Wald,
Wohin kein Wanderer dringet,
Des einsamen Vogels Sang verhallt,
So auch mein Lied verklinget.

Wie eine Haidblum' auf kahler Höh,
Wo Kalt' und Sturmwind wüthen,
Sich einsam härmt, sich senkt vor Weh,
So auch meiner Liebe Blüthen.
