Vögeleins Frühlingslied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wollet länger mich nicht halten
in dem engen finstern Haus,
ach des neuen Frühlingswalten
ziehet mächtig mich hinaus
drum hinaus hinaus in's Freie
in den frischen grünen Wald,
wo die Blumen blühn auf's neue
und der Vöglein Lied erschallt.

Wenn das erste Lüftchen linde
fächelt Wange mir und Brust,
zieht in's Herze ein geschwinde
ewig neue Wanderlust.
So zu wandern so zu schweifen
über Fluss und Berg und Thal -
lustig hin ein Liedchen pfeifen
und verschwunden alle Qual.
