Vaudeville
Language: French (Français)
Ores, j'ay choisi pour maîtresse
Une belle demy déesse,
Petite nymphette des champs;
Je crois que c'est la plus gentille,
Gracieuse et honneste fille
Que j'ay point veu depuis dix ans.

J'ayme bien mieux aymer icelle,
Que quelque brave demoiselle,
La quelle pourra, pour son mieux,
Choisir quelque autre plus habile,
De moy, je ne veux qu'une fille
Qui soit agréable à mes yeux.

Heureuse donc soit la fortune
Qui  m'a esté tant opportune
De m'adresser en si beau lieu;
Heureuse la première place
Qui me fit voir sa bonne grâce
Et sa beauté digne d'un dieu!
