by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Spatzenlyrik
Language: German (Deutsch)
Vom Haus zum Garten her und hin
Ein junger Sperling flog,
Wie eben ihn sein munt'rer Sinn
Nach einer Stelle zog.

Bald saß er dort, bald saß er hier,
Und zwitscherte dabei:
"O Frühlingsgrün, o schöne Zier
O Wonnemond, o Mai!

O Kirschlein rot, o Weizenkorn,
O Hälmchen zart und fein,
O frischer Zaun von Hagedorn,
O Duft, o Sonnenschein!

O Gartenraum, o Gartenraum,
Den ich so oft durchstrich,
O liebes Dach, o Lindenbaum,
Wie freu't, wie freu't ihr mich!"

So pfiff und schwatzte fort der Spatz
In seinem Lustrevier,
Doch ich verließ hierauf den Platz
Und dachte so bei mir:

Es ist, betracht' ich recht das Ding,
Grad' zwischen deinem Lied
Und dem von manchem Dichterling
Kein großer Unterschied.
