Va chercher quelques fleurs pour parer notre couche,
Va chercher des jasmins, va chercher des lilas,
Cueille-les doucement de ton beau geste las,
Et reviens lentement le sourire à la bouche.

Dispose-les sans bruit sur la mousse fragile,
Mets tout au bord le lys et les muguets troublants,
Puis disperse l'œillet poivré, les lilas blancs
Qui berceront d'azur notre sommeil tranquille.

Répands à flots aussi la simple violette,
J'aime de sa pudeur la présence muette
Quand le rêve irréel vient entourer mon front.

Et puis étendons-nous sur la couche odorante,
Pose tes cheveux bruns sur ma poitrine aimante
Et dors entre mes bras de ton sommeil profond.
