A cet époux donner tout votre amour.
Il vous chérit pour lui soyez gentille
Et son amour croîtra de jour en jour.
Oui des maris vous aurez la merveille,
Il couvrira de fleurs votre chemin !
Ces beaux discours on les tenait la veille,
On ne me dit plus rien le lendemain.

Les premier temps soumis comme un esclave,
Il m'aimait bien, je  m'en souviens encor,
Jamais mes vœux ne rencontraient d'entraves,
Mes jours coulaient comme un beau rêve d'or.
De mots d'amour il charmait mon oreille,
et dans sa main j'abandonnais ma main ...
C'était alors le mari de la veille ;
Ce n'est plus que celui du lendemain.
