Umsonst ensagt' ich 
der lockenden Liebe:
Kehret nicht, sprach ich,
O kehret mir nicht,
Ihr Rosen im Herzen!
 
Der Winter entflieht;
es kehren die Blumen,
es kehret der Frühling,  -- 
die Liebe mit ihm.
